Now that it's theoretically almost spring, all real estate sales transactions for 2014 should be recorded. Here at Curbed, we've always recorded sales per deal, not per parcel; Town & Country's listing of biggest sales doesn't include David Geffen's purchase of Cody House because it was sold via a number of parcels all under $15M, but we calculate things differently here. It's been a hell of a year for Hamptons real estate, with some amazing prices being achieved (a record $147M for 60 Further Lane, East Hampton) and some market laggards finally finding buyers. Too, some deals were down on the down-low, so they come as a bit of a surprise until they're recorded. Of course, as usual, the sales are almost all oceanfront, in a straight line down the coast from Further Lane to Meadow Lane. Some things never change.
