Ten East End Eateries Open This Christmas Eve

View as Map

We thought we'd follow up our map of Christmas Day dining options with one featuring restaurants open on the 24th. From casual to fine dining, sushi to steak, lunch to late night...this group of ten should offer something for everyone trying to find some food on Christmas Eve. Any others you think readers should know about? Feel free to add 'em in the comments.

The 1770 House

While the entire restaurant will be open as usual on Monday, spending Christmas Eve downstairs in the tavern is the way to go at The 1770 House...especially with that fireplace going.

The Bridgehampton eatery will be holding its 12th annual Christmas Eve dinner of roast suckling pig (with cabbage, caramelized apples and spaetzle) from 5pm to 9:30pm. If the $31 prix fixe doesn't do it for you, the rest of the menu will be available as well.

Barrister's

For those looking to say goodbye to this Southampton mainstay before it shutters, Christmas Eve might be one of your last chances. They'll be open from 5:30 until 9pm (they're closing an hour early) and offering the usual menu.

Indian Wells Tavern

The management is giving the staff the night off (an admirable move on their part), but lunch will still be served at Indian Wells between 11am and 3pm.

Muse will be open from 4 to 9pm and is offering a three-course prix fixe menu starting at $28.95. Reservations are recommended.

Nick & Toni's

No prix fixe from Nick & Toni's, but they will have a few a la carte holiday specials in addition to their regular menu: Lobster Salad with Preserved Lemon Aioli, Pan Roast Halibut with Caramelized Onions, and Chocolate Chestnut Crespelle. Doors open at 6pm and close when the last table leaves.

Plaza Café

The Plaza Café is perhaps best known for its seafood, so it makes sense they're offering a seven-course "Feast Of Seven Fishes" prix fixe on Christmas Eve starting at 5:30pm. The cost is $75 per person.

Southampton Publick House

If you need a little escape from family and holiday cheer, the good ol' Publick House will be open on Christmas Eve. The dining room closes a little early (9pm), but the bar will—joyously—stay open later.

World Pie

The East End's only real late night dining option (7-11 and Hess don't count) is business as usual on Monday. They'll be opening at 11:30 serving until midnight. Look for a few specials in addition to the regular menu.

Sushi on Christmas Eve? Sure. Why not? Might be the perfect opportunity to check out East Hampton's newest sushi spot, Zok·kon.
