The North Fork of Long Island is known for its vineyards and wineries. You can even get a party bus or limo through wine tour services that will take you to and from different North Fork wineries—and those tours won’t even cover all the wineries that you could go to.

Founded in 1983, Palmer Vineyards is open all year long, seven days a week. They also have a Wine Club membership that people can join, with perks like $5 glasses of wine and discounts on winery events.

Woodside Orchards

Woodside Orchards is technically not a winery or a vineyard, but rather a cidery. They have one location in Aquebogue and one in Jamesport. They offer flights and growlers and they’re open year-round.

Paumanok Vineyards

Paumanok offers a variety of wines, which can be purchased at a discounted rate for those in their wine club. Like many North Fork vineyards, events can be held at Paumanok and weddings are popular.

Jamesport Vineyards

Jamesport Vineyards is one of the North Fork’s oldest vineyards, founded in 1986. Brick oven pizzas are on their bites menu, so we’re definitely not complaining.

Martha Clara Vineyards

One of the most popular vineyards on the North Fork, Martha Clara has award-winning wines and takes reservations for spots in their tasting room. They also host events year-round, including painting wine glasses.

Diliberto Winery

At Diliberto, each visitor is offered a seat inside or on their outdoor patio. In addition to wine, you can get homemade pizza and other Italian dishes.

Clovis Point Vineyard & Winery

Located in Laurel, Clovis Point features live music on the weekends and a wine club membership that gets members discounts and first access to new wines before they hit the shelves.

Macari Vineyards

While Macari Vineyards didn’t begin operation at their Mattituck farm until 1995, the Macari family was making wine in their Corona, Queens basement back in the 1930s and ‘40s.

Laurel Lake Vineyards

The tasting room at Laurel Lake is open seven days a week, even in the off-season. But be careful—if you’re taking a wine tour bus and have a large group, you’ll want to call ahead as they require reservations for limos and buses.

Bridge Lane Tasting Room

Bridge Lane Wine is Lieb Cellar’s second label, named for the farm road near Lieb’s vineyards. Bridge Lane’s purpose is to be fun, light, and “fruit-forward.”

Roanoke Vineyards Wine Bar

Roanoake Vineyards is actually the only membership-based vineyard on Long Island. Their wines aren’t available in stores.

Castello di Borghese Vineyard

Castello di Borghese came from Long Island’s oldest vineyard, originating in 1973 by Alex and Louisa Hargrave. The Hargraves sold Hargrave Vineyard in 1998 to Ann Marie and Marco Borghese, who renamed the vineyard.

Lieb Cellars Tasting Room

McCall Wines

McCall Wines’ main building is an old potato barn that was also once used as a horse stable. While customers are allowed to bring their own small snacks and sandwiches to wine tastings from Monday to Thursday, you can’t bring your own food on the weekends.

Waters Crest Winery

Croteaux Vineyards

Unfortunately for those of you looking to take a wine tour, Croteaux doesn’t accept limos or buses, and group sizes should be kept to no more than eight people.

Kontokosta doesn’t allow buses or limos, outside food, or pets. The tasting room is open for the off-season, but only from Thursday to Sunday.
