Where to donate used furniture in the Hamptons

Ever since Tidying Up With Marie Kondo was released on Netflix at the beginning of the calendar year, thrift stores have seen a massive influx of donations, especially for clothes and books. If you’re making tidying up your space a part of your New Year’s resolutions for 2019, then you’re probably trying to figure out a place where you can donate all of your miscellaneous goods that you have found no longer spark joy—and you might be especially stumped on where to send those larger items.

So we’ve put together a map of places where you can donate your furniture around the East End.

The Salvation Army Family Store & Donation Center

Located a bit outside of the Hamptons, this Riverhead Salvation Army will not only take your furniture donations and other household goods, but they’ll also pick the large items up for you.

Southampton Hospital Foundation Thrift Shop

The Southampton Hospital Foundation Thrift Shop does take furniture donations, but there is limited space, so they can only take small items. Things like small occasion tables, chairs, and similar sized-items could be taken in.

The Retreat Boutique

In Bridgehampton, this resale store will take furniture donations, but they ask that you email photos to them first. They’ll also pick up your items if you’re located in or east of Hampton Bays.

Collette Consignment

For those looking to get a bit of money for their high-end furniture, consignment is a good option. With multiple locations throughout the Hamptons, Collette Consignment will evaluate whether or not they would sell your item at one of their stores after interested sellers send photos via email.

Animal Rescue Fund Thrift Shop
