Every summer, thousands of people escape to the East End to relax and enjoy the clean air, peace and quiet, and of course—the beaches. With a wide selection of beaches to choose from, it could be difficult to narrow a beach day down to just one spot.

We put together a list of the best beach spots in the Hamptons so planning your beach day can be a little easier.

1. Cupsogue Beach

Cupsogue is at the very end of Dune Road. Which means you’ll get to see all the massive Dune Road homes on your way to the beach. It does get crowded, so get there early for parking.

2. Rogers Beach

A Rogers Beach permit is the most popular permit in Westhampton Beach, so the beach has got to be good.

3. Tiana Beach

Tiana is just a short drive down from Ponquogue and is usually less crowded.

Though Meschutt is on the bay, the Beach Hut makes it one of the go-to summer spots in Hampton Bays.

5. Ponquogue Beach

Ponquogue is by far the most popular ocean beach in Hampton Bays, right off the Ponquogue Bridge near the Shinnecock Inlet. Restaurants are a close drive away.

Unfortunately, you can’t have tents on this beach, but you can do self-contained camping. Plus there’s both bay and ocean access, and lots of people fish off the jetty.

7. Road F Beach

Located off Meadow Lane, Road F is a favorite beach spot. Though it’s a bit more private, you’ll have to drive all the way down Meadow Lane to get there, and you’ll need a beach permit.

Halsey Neck Beach is a great ocean spot for when you’re site seeing down Meadow Lane.

Coopers Beach has been widely considered the best Hamptons beach by many, and for good reason. Umbrellas and chairs are available to rent, and you’ll pay a pretty penny for a parking fee.

10. Cryder Beach

You’ve probably seen plenty of Flying Point apparel through the Hamptons, made popular by Flying Point Surf Shop. The beach is close to Southampton village, which makes it a perfect stop before heading to lunch.

Unfortunately, Foster Memorial is pretty rocky. But if you’ve got a beach chair or a big blanket, it’s a great place to stop for a picnic.

15. Windmill Beach

This isn’t so much a beach as it is a little body of water that you can stop and eat lunch while shopping in Sag Harbor. But since it’s a great place to look out over the water, we’ve included it.

17. Havens Beach

Haven’s Beach is one of the most popular beaches in Sag Harbor. It’s a bay beach, making it good for swimming.

22. Egypt Beach

Though it’s a bit rocky, Egypt is a great beach to head to to swim and sunbathe. Maybe not beach volleyball, though.

23. Two Mile Hollow Beach

Two Mile Hollow is a wide beach with soft sand. It’s not as busy as some other East Hampton beaches will get, but it will get crowded on especially nice days.

24. Indian Wells Beach

This beach does get crowded, so don’t go here expected to get a good surf in on a nice day. The beach is noted for being clean, and there are bathrooms and showers on site.
