Gentlemen, Don Your Fedoras! Nightlife Preview 2013
Southampton Social Club
The Southampton Social Club is a luxurious restaurant and cocktail lounge that turns into a raging dance club on the back patio at night.
The Crow’s Nest, run by Sean MacPherson, is both a family friendly hotel and a nighttime hotspot.
Georgica is a weekday hotspot! It’s known as much for its seafood as it is nightlife.
After a hiatus of several years, Pink Elephant is back! It’s going to occupy the T-bar/Sienna Restaurant space in the same building as SL East.
SL East offers both indoor and outdoor sections and frequent live musical performances. This year it has an all-new sound system to crank.
Stephen Talkhouse of Amagansett has been operating since 1970, making it one of the older nightlife spots in the Hamptons, and as such continues to host a great many acts as a live musical venue.
Ruschmeyer’s, in Montauk, is an establishment like a summer camp for grownups. When you’re not dining in the restaurant helmed by executive chef Brian Loiacono, hang out at Reggae Sundays or Movie Mondays in the garden.
The Surf Lodge is arguably Montauk’s premier nightlife spot with its large outdoor section, fine seafood, and live music.
The Capri Hotel is known for its pool parties, food (BLT Steak is the house restaurant this year), and nightlife scene, and it’s been a Southampton party stalwart for years.
The Sloppy Tuna, despite its rather vulgar name, is a very popular Montauk nightspot known for overcrowding and loud parties.
Montauk Beach House
The Montauk Beach House, owned by impresarios Chris Jones and Larry Siedlick, rocked last summer with DJs like Mark Ronson. What will this summer bring?
Sunset Beach, run by Andre Balazs, is distinguished not only by its location--out of the way of most of the rest of the Hamptons nightlife scene--but also with its popularity amongst European visitors like Pippa Middleton.
Sole East Resort
Sole East is hosting poolside DJs every weekend through the summer and also live music Friday nights and DJs Saturday nights.
South Pointe is known for electronic dance music. Last summer featured DJs like Mark Knight and Sander Kleinenberg.
