On Monday, we asked readers to guess the asking price of this charming south-of-the-highway cottage in East Hampton, located just moments from village shops and restaurants.

Our poll was pretty split, but the category with the highest amount of votes (between $3.25 million and $3.5 million) was correct. The house is on the market with Sotheby’s International Realty agent Angela Boyer-Stump for $3,495,000.

Known as the Bee Cottage, local artist Stephanie Clark purchased the property in September of 2017 for $2,995,000 and redesigned the house, which was originally built in 1929.

Inside 2,478 square feet, there are three bedrooms, three full bathrooms, a fireplace in the living room, and a blue galley kitchen with a breakfast nook and a butler’s pantry. There’s also a finished lower level and French doors that lead outside to the exterior, where one will find covered terraces, a heated gunite pool with fountains, and gardens.

Located at 11 Fithian Lane, the 0.32-acre property is just a short walk from Main Street and about a mile and a half from the ocean at Egypt Beach.
