The 0.68-acre property at 8 Washington Drive in Montauk first came on the market back in June of 2018 for $10,795,000. After seven months on the market, the compound is now available for $8,895,000—nearly $2 million under the original asking price.

The compound hosts four separate structures: a shingled main house, a two-bedroom guest house, a pool house, and a two-car garage.

Designed by architect Robert Lenahan and completed in 2014, the property is still relatively new. Inside the main house, residents will enjoy four ensuite bedrooms (each with a fireplace) and a powder room. There’s also dark hardwood flooring throughout, a wide open floorplan, a three-seasons room, a butler’s pantry off the gourmet kitchen, and a second-floor master suite that leads out to an oceanview terrace.

For extra space, the guest house includes two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a chef’s kitchen, and a living room. There’s also a heated gunite pool, a pool house with a wet bar and a half-bathroom, an outdoor shower, and a covered terrace with an outdoor fireplace.

Residents will be just 500 feet from a nearby ocean beach, and about a mile and a half west of Montauk village shops and restaurants.

According to the Zillow price history, the property sold for $2.15 million in 2012.

The listing is represented by Jackie Lowey from Saunders, Nancy Keeshan from Compass, and Gabriella Portella from Corcoran Group Real Estate.
