French-inspired estate on Georgica Pond in East Hampton is back on the market

It last sold in 2012 for $4.65M

Back in 2011, this stucco French-inspired estate sitting waterfront on a creek that leads into Georgica Pond in East Hampton went on the market for $5.9 million, and by May of 2012, the property closed for $4.65 million. Seven years later, the house is available for sale again, this time with a steeper price tag of $8,495,000.

Designed in 1983 by architect Peter Cook, the house spans 5,500 square feet in size with seven bedrooms and five baths. According to the listing, it was totally renovated in 2014. Interiors include a double-height living room with a stone fireplace, hardwood floors throughout, a brand new kitchen with stainless steel appliances, and French doors that lead out to the exterior living space.

The second-level master suite is located in a private tower, offering views over the water from the balcony.

Outside, one will find a freeform gunite pool, stone patios, and direct water frontage. There’s also a storybook turret playhouse and a three-car garage with an artist’s studio and heated storage space.

Located at 112 Georgica Close Road, the property is just under 2 miles from the ocean at Georgica Beach, and about 3 miles from East Hampton village shops and restaurants.
