Located in the Hither Hills neighborhood of Montauk, the Surfside Inn & Restaurant came on the market in August of 2018 for $4.7 million and has just received its first price cut. The 0.4-acre commercial oceanview property is now available for $4.5 million with Nest Seekers agent Robert Canberg.

According to the Zillow price history, the listing has been on and off the market since 2008, at which time it was asking $4,995,000. The last time it was up for sale in 2014, it was asking $3.4 million—which is the lowest it’s been listed for over the last 11 years.

The buyer will get 5,100 square feet, indoor and outdoor dining space with ocean views, and direct beach access. According to the Surfside Inn’s website, the building was a hotel and restaurant called Surf & Sand and the Anzac House before it was purchased by the current owner in the 1980s.

What do you think of the listing? Do you think that it will sell for the current asking price, or do you think it’ll need to come down more to entice a buyer? Tell us what you think in the comments.
