The iconic Ram’s Head Inn on Shelter Island has been in operation for nearly a century since it first opened in 1929. And now the waterfront hotel, restaurant, and event venue is on the market for $9.75 million.
Located at 108 Ram Island Drive, the property spans 4.3 acres in size, and for those looking to expand the property, there’s an additional 2.5 buildable acres that could be tacked on to the purchase. At this time, Curbed has not received confirmation of the price for the additional parcel.
The nearly $10 million purchase will include a 12,000-square-foot, three-story Colonial style manor house with 5,000 square feet of unfinished basement, deep water docks, eight moorings, and 800 feet of west-facing water frontage on Coecles Harbor.
The inn is host to 22 rooms, a 110-seat restaurant, and indoor and outdoor space available for events and weddings. The property also has an all-weather tennis court and a regulation-sized bocce court.
Douglas Elliman agent Peter Humphrey represents the listing.
