The 9,000-square-foot oceanfront mansion known as Sandcastle on Dune Road in Quogue has just received another $1.1 million price cut and is currently listed for $17.9 million.
Built in 2015, the house first became available for sale three years ago for $24 million, but has been on and off the market since then. The $17.9 million asking price is about 75 percent of the original listing.
Inside, there are five bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, hardwood floors, large entertaining spaces, and multiple fireplaces. Doors off the living room accordion out to reveal an oceanview deck for indoor-outdoor living. On the finished lower level, one will find a kitchenette, putting green, and an extra lounge room.
Exterior features of the 1.72-acre property include a deck, a heated infinity pool, and a private walkway down to the ocean.
Corcoran Group agent Jeremy Ryan represents the listing.
In 2008, the property sold for $7.1 million before the current estate was built. Last time we featured the house, our readers weren’t crazy about the design. Now that it’s asking less, what do our readers think? What do you think it will finally sell for? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
