It was built in 1977, but the interiors feel new

We adore space-saving compact homes on the East End, but tiny homes with good interiors in the Hamptons can sometimes be hard to find. A totally renovated cottage in the Springs neighborhood of East Hampton has just come on the market for $699,000 and we love what the home has to offer.

The home spans just 1,000 square feet in size, but there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms inside, plus an open concept living and dining rooms to maximize the limited square footage. Hardwood floors and white walls throughout the space make the house feel new even though it was built in 1977. The eat-in kitchen offers stainless steel appliances, a small but functional island, and a decent amount of countertop space.

Sliding glass doors lead outside, where there’s a deck, bluestone patio, outdoor shower, and space for entertaining on the 0.18-acre property. In 2016, the home sold for $437,500.

Located at 85 Harbor Boulevard, the property is just 1 mile from Moby’s restaurant, and about 4 miles north of East Hampton village and Amagansett’s Main Street shops and restaurants.
