A beautiful, spacious modern home at 79 Monroe Drive in Montauk has found a buyer after more than a year on the market and is currently pending a sale. Though it was last asking $5,995,000, it originally went up for sale with a listing price of $6,495,000 in April of 2017.

Located south of the highway in Hither Hills, the half-acre property is host to a spacious upside-down house spanning 4,500 square feet in size. Built in 2015, the shingled home has four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, walls of glass, radiant floor heating, and an oceanview deck with a hot tub off the master suite.

High ceilings can be found throughout the living and dining spaces, as well as hardwood floors and a wide open floorplan. The 1,000-square-foot basement is fully finished with 10-foot ceilings.

Outside, there’s a heated saltwater gunite pool, an outdoor barbecue, a fire pit, and private deeded access to a nearby ocean beach. The two-car garage even has an electric charging outlet for Tesla cars.

The ocean is a quick quarter-mile walk away, while getting to village shops and restaurants would take just five minutes by car. In 2012, the property sold for $990,000, but the current house hadn’t been built yet.
