On Monday, we asked readers to guess what the asking price of this tiny, renovated cottage in Sag Harbor was listed for. On the market for $799,000 under Town & Country Real Estate agents, Gene Stilwell and Tracy Annacone, most of our readers overshot the asking price by just a little bit, but were very close.

Nearly half of the votes went to the category above $800,000. Twenty-three percent of readers guessed that it was listed somewhere between $750,000 and $800,000.

In 1996, the 1,000-square-foot residence sold for $107,000 and in 2015 it went on the market for $685,000. This is the highest asking price that it’s had yet.

Inside, there are two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an open floorplan in the kitchen and living room, a wood-burning stove, and another living room at the back part of the house that has French doors leading out to the private back yard.

What do our readers think of the price?
