Located at 55 Egypt Close in south-of-the-highway East Hampton, a beautiful traditional style home has gone into contract.

Built in 1999, the home was renovated and expanded in 2005. In 4,700 square feet, there are five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, while new owners will enjoy a heated pool with its own bathroom, detached two-car garage, and a basketball half-court on the exterior of the 1.08-acre property.

Interiors include an entry hall, a fireplace in the living room, an eat-in kitchen, and a full first-floor master wing with an ensuite bathroom, fireplace, and sitting area. Another ensuite bedroom is found near the master, while three additional guest rooms are on the second level: One is ensuite, and the two others share a bathroom.

In November of 2017, the property went on the market for $6,495,000 and sat with that asking price until June, at which time the price was reduced to $6,195,000. Earlier this week, the home found a buyer and went into contract. Gary DePersia from Corcoran Group Real Estate represents the listing.
