Montauk fixer-upper goes into contract after just three days on the market

New, 3 comments

It went on the market on August 11, and by August 14 was pending a sale

Earlier this month, a Montauk fixer-upper on a quarter-acre of land became available for sale with an asking price of $599,000—and after just three days, someone snagged this property and signed a contract.

According to the Zillow price history, the 1,200-square-foot cottage went on the market on August 11 and was pending a sale by August 14.

Built in 1973, the home definitely needs some work done. It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, an semi-open floorplan, vaulted ceilings, and a brick fireplace. We’re curious to see what changes the new owners are planning on making inside, but we definitely see a lot of potential in the sunroom located off the living room. There are no photos available of the bedrooms, bathrooms, or kitchen, so those rooms are probably in need of extensive work.

It has a shingled exterior, deck, and shed in the backyard, but we’re guessing the new owners will put a small pool back there as well.

Located at 345 Flamingo Avenue, the 0.26-acre property is just a half-mile from a bay beach, about 2 miles north of Montauk Downs State Park Golf Course, and about 3 miles from the ocean at Ditch Plains Beach.

Robert Kohr and Conrad Costanzo from Sotheby’s International Realty represent the listing.
