Every Monday, we have readers guess the asking price of a newly-listed house in the Hamptons. This week, the challenge was a 19th century farmhouse in Amagansett with an entertainment barn on the property.

Listed for $5.7 million under Corcoran Group Real Estate agent, Bonita DeWolf, about half of our readers guessed correctly—and nearly half of them thought it was listed for a bit less.

Built in 1802, the 3,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms, period details throughout, a country kitchen, wood beamed ceilings in the living room, and a master suite.

The exterior living space has a garden with mature trees and flower beds, a patio, a heated pool, and the entertainment barn, which the listing suggests using as a writer’s or artist’s studio. Interiors of the barn include hardwood floors, a brick fireplace, skylights, wood beamed ceilings, and a lofted living space.

The south-of-the-highway home is located at 42 Atlantic Avenue, which is less than a mile from the ocean and the Amagansett National Wildlife Refuge.
