Typically, when we do a PriceSpotter, our readers tend to lean towards one price so than the others. But this week, the votes across each category are nearly even.

Most readers guessed that this oceanfront Amagansett home set on 2 acres of land was listed somewhere between $9 million and $10 million. On the market for $9.5 million, these readers are correct.

Built in 2002, the unique contemporary home at 928 Whalers Lane stands 3,200 square feet with three bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms inside. Interiors include reclaimed pine wood, walls of windows that bring the surrounding landscape indoors, and a sizable kitchen with stainless steel appliances and wood-beamed ceilings.

Owners will be able to sit back and relax at this Hamptons retreat with the smell and views of the ocean around them—but if that’s not doing the trick, there’s also a sauna and a steam room inside.

Outside, there are hand-cut slate chimneys, a covered dining terrace, a gunite pool, a hot tub, and a separate 400-square-foot studio.

Readers pointed out in the comments section that while this property boasts 200 feet of ocean frontage, that ocean frontage is right on Truck Beach—which likely means that the asking price will need to come down.

Nearby, the oceanfront home at 45 Whalers Lane that was once featured in a Seinfeld episode went on the market in February of 2017 for $8.75 million, but eventually sold earlier this year for $5,725,000.

Marie Zazzi from Sotheby’s International Realty represents the listing.
