The least expensive home that was available for sale on the famed Further Lane in East Hampton has just gone into contract after four years on the market.

In 2012, the 2-acre property at 386 Further Lane came on the market with an asking price of $8.5 million, but the listing was then removed until relisting in June of 2016. At that time, it was asking a higher $9.25 million.

Eventually, the price came down to $7.9 million, which is what it was most recently listed for under Corcoran Group agent, Gary DePersia.

In 9,000 square feet, there are five bedrooms and eight bathrooms among two stories.

Built in 2001, the stucco home has a gated entry and a long driveway, a dramatic great room, a children’s wing with two bedrooms and a play area, and a second-level master wing with an office, sitting room, and outdoor terrace. The finished lower level features a home theater, gym, and steam room.

The exterior living space offers gardens, a pool, two additional hot tubs, and a pool house with three bathrooms and kitchen. There also a variance for tennis in place, according to the listing.
