On Monday, we asked readers to guess the asking price of a historic 18th century Colonial-style home in Quogue.

Originally built in 1796 and then later expanded in the early 1800s, the nearly 4,000-square-foot home sits on 1.25 acres of land. There are seven bedrooms and five bathrooms among three levels of living space. Features include details from the original construction, wide-planked hardwood floors, an eat-in kitchen, and three fireplaces.

About 35 percent of our readers guessed that it was listed for somewhere between $1 million and $2 million—and they were right! The asking price is $1.32 million under Corcoran agents, Jeremy Ryan, Vanessa Saunders, and Erin Morrell.

Just four people thought it was under $1 million. Nearly the same amount of voters guessed that it was between $2 million and $3 million as those who thought it was over $3 million.

The downside is that it’s right on Montauk Highway, but it’s only two miles north of the ocean on Dune Road.
