Located on Hill Street in Southampton village, a 19th century home originally built by Captain William Post could be your August to Labor Day rental for $60,000.

On the 0.47-acre property, the main house stands 3,700 square feet in size with five bedrooms and five and a half bathrooms, recently updated to include a new chef’s kitchen, breakfast room, and family room. Some older details have been maintained throughout the house, including floral wallpaper in the dining room and master suite’s bedroom and bathroom.

What we love most about this property is the garden outside. A pool and barbecue are great for entertaining, but the garden with a fountain and places to sit is a perfect retreat for some alone time and privacy.

Attached to the main house is a maritime-designed cottage for guests or staff.

What do you think of the home? In particular, what are your thought on the interior design? What about the exterior gardens? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
