Earlier this week, we had readers guess the asking price of an oceanfront modern home in Montauk that once belonged to Robert Entenmann—the former chairman of Entenmann’s baked goods company and the founder of Martha Clara Vineyards.

According to our poll, the category with the most votes was between $17 million and $19 million, but the home is actually listed for $21 million under Corcoran Group Real Estate agents, Michael Schultz and Susan Ryan. Around 22 percent of our readers guessed correctly.

The home currently belongs to designer Tomas Maier, the former creative director at the Italian high fashion brand, Bottega Veneta, where he filled the position from 2001 up until June of 2018. Maier also has his own swimwear label and has collaborated with Uniqlo for a resort collection.

Spanning 3,000 square feet in size, the totally renovated home features four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms, plus 2,000 square feet of exterior living space. Inside, there are ocean views from nearly every room, fireplaces in both the living room and the library, and a chef’s kitchen with poured concrete countertops.

The gated property boasts 135 feet of direct ocean frontage, a heated gunite saltwater pool, and a two-car garage.

Maier purchased the home for $7,375,000 in 2013 after it came on the market a year before for $10 million.
