Built in 1982, this modern cube-like home in Amagansett has just come on the market for $1,995,000.

The 2,742-square-foot, three-story home doesn’t have an excess of square footage, but the first-level living space is maximized by an open floorplan and double-height ceilings. A spiral staircase leads to a lofted lounge room where sliding glass doors bring you out to a balcony.

Three of the four bedrooms in the home are set on the first level, all with sliding glass doors that lead outside. The master suite is sited on the second floor.

It looks as if the interiors have been recently updated with fresh hardwood floors, white walls, and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen.

Outside, there’s a pool and room to expand on the 1.4-acre property.

In 2016, the north-of-the-highway home sold for $1,625,000 and before that in 2003 for $800,000. Since it was purchased two years ago, the current owner has had it available to rent. The property is about 2 miles from the ocean at Indian Wells Beach and just 1 mile from the Devon Yacht Club.
