The 2,500-square-foot Georgica Pond-front cottage sited on nearly 2 acres has found a buyer after just over a year on the market.
In April of 2017 the property became available for sale under Sotheby’s International Realty agents, Frank Newbold and Valerie Smith, for $12 million. After several price cuts, the home eventually came down in price to $9.4 million, which is what the property was most recently listed for when the contract was signed last month.
The cottage—built in 1970—has four bedrooms and three full bathrooms, but there are almost no interior photos available on the listing. So we’re thinking that the home will likely be torn down, and the new owner is purchasing for the land value.
This East Hampton home’s endless views over Georgica Pond are incredible and the ocean is close, too. Getting to the ocean at Georgica Beach is only about two miles away, which would take about five minutes in the car.
