Earlier this week, we had readers guess the asking price of this brand new, energy efficient home in the Springs neighborhood of East Hampton. According to our poll, 42 percent of readers guessed in the correct category, thinking that it was listed for somewhere between $1 million and $1.5 million.

At $1,495,000 under Douglas Elliman real estate agent Sara Faulkner, 42 percent of our readers were spot on—and the 40 percent who guessed it was listed between $1.5 million and $2 million were very close, too. A few people thought it was between $2 million and $3 million, but no one thought it was higher than $3 million.

There are four ensuite bedrooms inside the 3,250-square-foot home, plus an open living room, a kitchen with vaulted ceilings, a finished lower level with a media room, and a bonus room with polished concrete floors.

Sliding glass doors lead outside, where one will find a 700-square-foot mahogany deck, a saltwater heated pool, and hedged gardens.
