When we featured the updated Greek Revival at 17 Suffolk Street in Sag Harbor—which was originally built in 1830 but has been updated and brought into the 21st century—our readers were split. Some didn’t like the wallpaper, while others said that it was unique, bold, and interesting.

The home listed for sale back in October of 2017 for $5.5 million and received one $500,000 price cut two months later. After a total of eight months on the market, the 188-year-old home has just sold for $4.5 million under Compass Real Estate agent, Donald Gleasner.

In nearly 4,000 square feet, the home has four bedrooms and three bathrooms on 0.4 acres of land situated a close walking distance to Sag Harbor village shops and restaurants.

Interiors include seven fireplaces, modern amenities, and a butler’s pantry off the dining room. Outside, there’s a heated gunite pool and spa, and a screened-in porch for outdoor dining.
