The brand new 11,000-square-foot estate at 379 Captain’s Neck Lane in Southampton came on the market in October for $24.9 million—and after eight months on the market, has come down in price for the first time. Now listed for nearly $4 million less than what it was originally asking, the estate—represented by Douglas Elliman agent, Michaela Keszler—is available for $20.95 million.

Inside 11,194 square feet there are seven bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms, and three half-bathrooms. The shingle style home is sited on nearly 2 acres of land in the south-of-the-highway estate section of Southampton, about a mile from the ocean at Halsey Neck Beach.

Most notably, the property features a massive pool, sauna, steam room, and basketball court, all indoors. Even though some may be concerned about the state of the room that hosts a 65- by 29-foot indoor pool, new homeowners won’t need to worry: The indoor enclosure has a dual commercial dehumidification system and a full cedar ceiling.

While this home is definitely for the athletic, it could also be great for a family with a practicing musician. All three levels have soundproof walls and ceilings.

The property sold in 2007 for $7 million. Do our readers think that the price should keep coming down, or that $20.95 million will entice a buyer?
