A waterfront fixer-upper in Hampton Bays seeks $3.4M

The home needs some work, but it’s set on 1.2 acres of waterfront land on Shinnecock Bay

Maybe it’s just our imagination, but ever since Shorebluff set the record for the highest residential real estate transaction ever closed in Hampton Bays, it seems like a lot of great Hampton Bays properties have been cropping up for sale. This one in particular needs a bit of work, but its main asset is the 1.2 acres of waterfront land on Shinnecock Bay.

The house itself stands 3,000 square feet in size with four bedrooms and four and a half bathrooms. Built in 1991, the listing claims that the home has been “recently upgraded,” but some of the interiors still look a bit dated. Some positives include hardwood floors throughout and a double-height living room with water views.

We’ll admit, the exterior could use some love, too. New homeowners will enjoy a heated waterside pool, a new dock for boating, a hot tub, multi-level decking, and an outdoor shower.

In 1997, the waterfront home at 185 Bay Avenue East sold for $550,000. Aimee Fitzpatrick Martin from Saunders Real Estate represents the listing.
