Earlier this week, we had readers guess the asking price of a waterfront compound on Shinnecock Bay in Hampton Bays. Sited at 27 Canoe Place Road, the home is asking $2,999,000 under Douglas Elliman agent, Enzo Morabito.

About 40 percent of our readers thought the 1.2-acre property was listed somewhere between $3 million and $4 million, while about 20 percent of votes went to the category of between $2 million and $3 million. A few people thought it was under $2 million and some even thought it was asking over $4 million.

Standing 2,900 square feet, the main house on this waterfront property has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, one half-bathroom, and an open floorplan on the second level where the living and dining rooms are situated. There’s also a waterview rooftop deck accessed by a lofting living space, a desirable 186 feet of water frontage, and two cottages on the property.

The property is also zoned for residential with business, so the new owner has income potential.
