Updated Sag Harbor cottage from 1900 finds a buyer

The home went into contract under the most recent $2.595M asking price

Just last week, this updated historic Main Street home from 1900 made our Curbed Comparisons list featuring homes in Sag Harbor for under $3 million. In our poll, most than half of our readers voted that they liked this cozy abode the best out of the four Sag Harbor homes for sale that we showcased.

Now the Sotheby’s listing is showing that the it’s found a buyer and is currently under contract. The property is represented by listing agents Ann Ciardullo and Keith Green and was last asking $2,595,000.

In 2,900 square feet, the century-old home has four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom. It’s recently undergone a total renovation and has interior features like a two-story great room, a chef’s kitchen, a wood-paneled library with a fireplace, and an entry foyer. A finished lower level hosts a guest room and spa-like bathroom.

Outside, the quarter-acre property has a pool, pool house or guest cottage with a kitchen and full bathroom, a dining terrace, and garage.

While we’re loving the interiors that they show on the listing, we wish there were more photos of the bedrooms. The only bedroom that can be seen in the photos is the guest bedroom in the basement, but we’d love to see the master or upstairs bedrooms.

In 2016, the property sold for $1.6 million.
