What/Where: A waterfront compound on Shinnecock Bay in Hampton Bays.
Size: 2,900 square feet, 1.2 acres.

This week, we’re having readers guess the asking price of a waterfront home on 1.2 acres of land with 186 feet of direct bay frontage on Shinnecock Bay. Located in Hampton Bays, the property’s main house has 2,900 square feet, four bedrooms, three full bathrooms, and one half-bathroom.

Built in 2007, the home has an open floor plan in the living and dining spaces, while a stone fireplace with built-ins accents the living room. The eat-in kitchen features a large center island with a hardwood countertop, while granite countertops and stainless steel appliances can be found in the rest of the kitchen. From the upstairs loft, one can access the waterview rooftop deck.

The property is zoned as residential with business, which allows for some income potential. There are two additional cottages on the property for extra living or work space.

Though we won’t reveal an exact address quite yet, we will say that it’s centrally located near popular shops and restaurants. Back in 2016, the home was listed for a slightly lower asking price and was re-listed just last week.

Since Hampton Bays real estate tends to be significantly less expensive than east-of-the-canal towns—even when it’s waterfront—we’re going to start the guessing at $2 million.
