Victorian style Water Mill home with curb appeal lists for $1.599M

Not too long ago, in December of last year, the Victorian-style home at 538 Deerfield Road in north-of-the-highway Water Mill sold for $1.55 million. Just six months later, the home has returned to the market for $1,599,000 under Saunders Real Estate agent, Sarah Minardi.

The 2,000-square-foot home has changed hands several times over the last decade. According to the Zillow price history, the 1988 home went up for sale last May for $1,999,999 before receiving a few price cuts and then found a buyer at the end of the year. Before that, it sold in 2014 for $1,275,000 after being on and off the market since 2009. But the seller sold the home at a loss: It closed for $1.4 million in 2007.

Sited across the street from the Halsey Farm & Nursery and about one mile north of the Water Mill Hampton Coffee Company, the home has three bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms. Features include a master suite with a bathroom and sitting area, an eat-in kitchen, a wood-burning fireplace in the living room, and sliding glass doors that lead to the exterior living space.

A heated gunite pool, a small pool house, and a wraparound covered porch can be found outside. We also love the Dutch front door and the unique wallpaper choices throughout the home.
