Southampton estate last asking $24M finds a buyer

It raised its price in March and a contract was signed shortly after

The corner lot at 477 Little Plains Road in the estate section of Southampton relisted earlier this year for $22.5 million, and after increasing the asking price in March to $24 million, the home has found a buyer.

When we featured the home back in February, we were thinking that it would need to come down in price considering homes across the street that have a coveted Gin Lane address and ocean frontage have sold in the past for less than what this home was asking. But the property actually raised the price and found a buyer within a few months. The home just went into contract earlier this week, so a final sales price hasn’t been revealed yet.

Sited on 4 acres of land that’s just 200 feet from the ocean, this property has rose gardens, specimen plantings, an outdoor dining pavilion, pool, and a 6,500-square-foot home from the ’80s that the listing suggests tearing down to make room for a new home, tennis court, and pool house.

The property is represented by Mary Ann Cinelli of Brown Harris Stevens.
