It’s official! After several days of sunshine and warm weather that managed to creep up over 70°, the seemingly endless winter of 2018 has finally come to a close, spring is in full swing, and summer feels much closer on the East End of Long Island. And with summer quickly approaching, we want to ask our readers: What’s your absolute favorite thing about summer in the Hamptons?

The Hamptons is known for its summers. From the amazing beaches and beautiful nature trails to great local restaurants and spending afternoons at the vineyard, the Hamptons is a truly unique place with lots to offer both its year-round residents and its visitors.

But what is your absolute favorite part of spending your summers here? Do you like getting dolled up for garden parties and events, or are you more looking forward to kicking back on the beach with your friends for a picnic?

Of course, there are downsides to the East End summers, too. Traffic has been getting worse lately, and it’s only going to get more congested as we approach Memorial Day. House parties can sometimes get out of hand. And with the influx of people, drama is always guaranteed to some extent. If you have a least favorite part, feel free to sound off in the comments.
