An incredible oceanfront Barnes Coy Architects-designed mansion in Bridgehampton just came on the market for a whopping $42.5 million earlier this week. Built in 2011, the 7,360-square-foot home was purchased back in 2015 for $27.5 million and now just three years later, it’s returned to the sales market for a steeper asking price.

When Mansion Global broke news on the listing earlier this week, it was reported that the current owner had recruited Ben Krupinski to expand on the existing estate and work with a healthy $10 million renovation budget over the course of two years. Krupinski has been a contractor to household names like Christie Brinkley and Martha Stewart, but the current owner has not been revealed and purchased the 1.43-acre property under a limited liability company.

Since the expansion, the modern home now features a new rooftop deck with an outdoor kitchen that hosts a pizza oven and a bar, among other new amenities.

There are seven bedrooms, eight full bathrooms, and two half bathrooms inside the upside-down style home, laid out so that the living and dining spaces are on the second floor while the bedrooms are on the ground level. This floorplan is common in beach houses where the views of the surrounding landscape are sought to be maximized throughout the home.

Interior features include walnut and limestone floors, high industrial style ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, radiant heat on all the floor surfaces, and smart home technology. Outside, there’s an infinity edge pool, 6,000 square feet of exterior living and entertaining space, two outdoor TV viewing areas, and water views of both the ocean and Sagg Pond.

Given the current owner spent $27.5 million on the property and put $10 million into the renovation, the current price tag would afford a $5 million profit before factoring in taxes and broker’s fees. This property could very well sell quickly or even above ask—but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye out to see what happens with this home.
