Rent a spacious oceanview upside-down Montauk home short-term for $24K

There’s no pool, but it’s close to the ocean

If you’re going to come out to the Hamptons for just two weeks this summer, you may as well get the best short-term rental house that you can find. For many, this includes gorgeous ocean views and plenty of space to spread out.

For $24,000 for a two-week rental, this upside-down Montauk home with Ditch Plains views could be the home that you’ve been searching for.

Upside-down floor plans are popular in beach houses because they’re supposed to maximize the views of the surrounding landscape. So instead of having the bedrooms upstairs, the living and dining spaces are on the second level.

Designed and owned by an architect, the 2,400-square-foot home was built back in 2002 and features four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms on a full acre of land. We love the wide open floor plan between the living room, dining room, and kitchen, as well as the wood-paneled room and skylights found throughout the home.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like there’s a pool, but when you’re that close the ocean, walking to the beach for a swim will be a breeze.
