A boxy modern from 1980 at 79 Surfside Drive in Bridgehampton has just landed on the sales market for $21.5 million under Saunders Real Estate agent, Terry Cohen.

The 2,000-square-foot home has four bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and two half-bathrooms on 1.5 acres of land sited right on the ocean, with 140 feet of private beach frontage.

The home needs some updates, so if the existing home just isn’t for you, the property can accommodate a 10,000-square-foot structure, plus a waterside pool and decking. It already has a heated pool with a cabana bathroom.

A five-level modern down the road at 155 Surfside Drive has 3,500 square feet of living space sited on 1.3 acres of land with 130 feet of direct ocean frontage—and that home is also asking exactly the same price of $21.5 million.

While the style of that 1988 contemporary may not be for everyone (one commenter mentioned that they thought the exterior looked like a prison from the road), it needs less work than its newly-listed neighbor. So we’re curious to see what will happen with the price on both of these listings.

What do you think of the price on this ’80s modern? Leave your thoughts in the comments.
