Afghan Hands co-founders Matin Maulawizada and Mike Serdiouk listed their home in East Hampton’s Northwest Woods

The East End home of Matin Maulawizada, celebrity makeup artist and founder of Afghan Hands, and his co-founder, Mike Serdiouk, has been listed in the Northwest Woods of East Hampton for $1,375,000.

Not only does Maulawizada work with clients such as Gwyneth Paltrow, Angelina Jolie, Cynthia Nixon, Liv Tyler, Julianne Moore, and Mandy Moore, but he also founded a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Afghan Hands started with a mission to help women of his home country of Afghanistan gain independence, literacy, and livable wages. The nonprofit pays the women to take classes in the morning and embroider shawls and scarves in the afternoon.

On nearly an acre of land, the contemporary home spans 1,700 square feet with three bedrooms and three bathrooms. Interiors include floor-to-ceiling windows, 15-foot ceilings, an open floorplan, skylights, sliding glass doors, and a wood-burning fireplace.

Sited on a corner lot at 220 Treescape Drive, the property also has a 1,000-square-foot mahogany deck perfect for dining, lounging, and entertaining. New owners will enjoy a fenced-in yard, a heated saltwater gunite pool, and a finished basement with a bonus room that could be used as either an office or a bedroom.
