At its core, the Hamptons is a beach destination. Our beaches have always gotten recognition as some of the most popular or best beaches in the country—or even the world. Earlier this month, Town & Country released its list of the best east coast beaches in the United States, and East Hampton’s Main Beach scored the high-ranking No. 3 spot.
Main Beach received bronze after Nantucket and Block Island. Some readers may even remember when the village beach was ranked the No. 1 beach in the country back in 2013.
Towards the bottom of the list, Cooper’s Beach in Southampton was ranked No. 13 for its seven miles of coastline, snack bar, and umbrella and chair rentals.
If you’re coming to the Hamptons and don’t feel like going to the two most popular beaches on the East End, be sure to check out of best beaches map for more ocean and bay options.
