Part of the allure of coming out east to the Hamptons is being near the beach. While oceanfront homes can have price tags upwards of eight digits, many bayfront homes are more affordable. Sited in Napeague’s Lazy Point, this waterfront cottage on Napeague Bay has recently listed for $1,795,000 under Sotheby’s International Realty agents, Mark Webb and Bryan MacDonald.

Built in 2000, the home hosts four bedrooms and two and a half bathrooms in 1,400 square feet of living space. The interiors have been renovated and now feature an eat-in kitchen, open floor plan, hardwood floors and ceilings, skylights, and sliding glass doors that open out to a waterview dining deck off the living room.

The downside is that the property is just 0.15 acres, so there wouldn’t be much room to expand or add a pool.

Located at 180 Shore Road, new owners will be about 10 miles away from Montauk, and about three miles north of ocean beaches.
