A cozy two-bedroom cottage at 23 Bon Pinck Way in Springs went into contract the same day that it was listed for sale under Sotheby’s International Realty agent, Laura Molinari, for $755,000.
A Sotheby’s representative told Curbed that before it was listed, agents were contacted to see if they had any clients that might be interested in the cottage. There were clients who eagerly “wanted to come the day it was being photographed.” After seeing the house, they “made the right offer and the house went into contract shortly thereafter.”
It’s no wonder the home sold immediately—for less than $1 million, the 1,030-square-foot home has been recently renovated and doesn’t require much more work to be put into it. Post-renovation, the home has hardwood floors, fresh white walls, a brick fireplace and built-ins in the living room, and a large open kitchen.
Certainly there are some parts of the 1970 home that could use an update or two (we’re thinking new cabinets and flooring in the kitchen), but for the most part the two-bedroom home is in great shape.
On the half-acre property, the new owners will enjoy a mahogany deck, outdoor shower, detached garage with heat and air conditioning, and plenty of room for a pool or expansion.
Sited on the northern end of Springs in the private Clearwater Beach community, residents will also have beach rights and marina access.
In 2013, the property sold for $550,000, and before that in 2005 for $532,500.
