This year, the U.S. Open Championship will take place at the Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton from Monday, June 11 to Sunday, June 17. This is the fifth time that the major event is being held at the East End golf course, with players like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy expected in the field. Shinnecock will also be host to the U.S. Open again in 2026.
With the event rapidly approaching, golfers, fans, LIRR workers, and locals are all preparing—so we want to know: Are you planning on renting out your Hamptons home for the event?
If you are planning on renting it out, how are you going about it? Are you listing your place on Craigslist? Are you going through Airbnb? Or are you taking the traditional route and listing through a broker?
On the flip side, if you’re planning on coming out for the event and don’t have a Hamptons home to crash, how are you going about the rental process?
If you have experience renting out your Hamptons home or finding a place to stay from the last U.S. Open in 2004, what was your experience like?
