Gin Lane estate with gardens and a gazebo relists for $14.95M

Once asking a substantial $21 million in April of 2016, this two-acre Gin Lane property in Southampton’s estate section just relisted with Sotheby’s International Real Estate agent, Pat Petrillo, for $14,950,000. It came off the market in December, at which time it had a slightly more expensive price tag of $15.5 million.

In the last two years, the home has come down in asking price by more than $6 million, and has come off the market once.

When we first featured the home, most of our readers who commented actually thought that the home was in good shape but just needed to be refreshed. Commenters thought that ultimately the two acres of land on Gin Lane (even though it’s not on the ocean side) and its decent exteriors are the selling points for this property. But the interiors just weren’t doing it for everyone.

Though the photos in the listing this time around are slightly different, it doesn’t look like there have been any changes to the interior since 2016—however, the price has come down a fair bit, so it’s possible that buyers will be more likely to overlook the interior features that they aren’t so fond of.

In 9,000 square feet, there are nine bedrooms, nine full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, fireplaces in the living room and the paneled library, a two-car garage, a pool and tennis court outside, and ocean views from the master suite.
