Developer Joe Farrell’s iconic mansion at 612 Halsey Lane in Bridgehampton—dubbed “Sandcastle”—is now on the market for $49.95 million, reports the New York Post. Most notably, power couple Beyoncé and Jay-Z rented the 17,000-square-foot home back in 2012, at which time they paid $400,000 to live in the estate for a month. They even filmed in the backyard of the home.
Just a few years later, the property’s rental price tag shot up to $1 million for just the month of July. The home was in high demand as a rental property—Justin Bieber reportedly wanted to stay at the Bridgehampton estate two summers ago, but it wasn’t available.
Sited on over 11 acres of land, the property is perfect for the athletic and fun-loving type, fully equipped with a golf simulator and a skateboarding half-pipe in the basement, a bowling alley, a sunken indoor Jacuzzi, a sunken tennis court outside, a pool, and even a baseball field.
There’s also a spa with a steam room, a movie theater, a personal gym, a rock-climbing wall, and a basketball court.
Farrell has lived in the estate for about eight years and told the New York Post that he was ready to downsize.
The gated home has 15 bedrooms in 17,000 square feet of living space.
