There’s room for a pool and expansion

After listing for sale seven months ago, the ’70s contemporary style home at 25A Squiretown Road in Hampton Bays has gone into contract. When it was listed, it was asking $640,000, but it’s since gone down in price. The pending offer was made under the most recent asking price of $583,000.

Though some of the home is dated it looks to be in good shape, and the price isn’t too bad. The exterior siding seems like it’s faded a bit, and the kitchen would benefit from a face lift—but in just 1,823 square feet, the kitchen is a good size. Additionally, the home is on a sizable 1.23 acres of land, so there’s plenty of room for expansion if the new owner needs more space.

There are two bedrooms and two bathrooms inside the home, hardwood floors, and sliding glass doors that lead to the exterior decking and hot tub. The living room features high, wood-beamed ceilings and a brick fireplace. Unfortunately the property doesn’t have a pool, but there’s room for one to be added.

In 2014, the home sold for $340,000. Off Squiretown Road, the property is walking distance to town shops and restaurants. The property is represented by Michael Gary and April Jakubauskas of Town & Country Real Estate.
