Most of our readers thought that this Sag Harbor traditional style home was listed between $3 million and $4 million, according to the poll that we took earlier this week. A little less than half of our readers guessed in that price range for this week’s PriceSpotter—but it’s actually listed for $2,595,000. The category of under $3 million received about 29 percent of the votes.
About a quarter of our readers thought that it was listed for even higher—between $5 million and $6 million—while just one reader thought that it was asking over $6 million.
The property was last purchased in 2014 for $1,618,350, and the construction was built that same year.
In 4,300 square feet of space, there are four bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, an entry foyer, a fireplace in the living room, a butler’s pantry off the dining room, stainless steel appliances in the kitchen, and a privately situated master suite with a marble master bathroom. The finished lower level has a separate entrance and a full bathroom.
Exterior features include a heated gunite pool, a bluestone patio, mahogany decking, and a two-car garage.
Considering what the property was purchased for, and the fact that it’s still a new construction, the price isn’t bad. It was being offered at the end of 2016 for $2,695,000, but shortly after reduced its asking price to $2,595,000. After about six months on the market, the listing was removed, and the property went back up for sale earlier this month for the same asking price at which it was most recently listed.
