Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, a column that explores what one can buy or rent for a certain price in the Hamptons.
Today, we’re going to take a look at what you can rent in the esteemed Georgica section of East Hampton for the summer with a $500,000 budget. Located in a quiet, south-of-the-highway portion of town near Georgica Pond, the Georgica section is home to many notable and historic estates.
Beyoncé and Jay-Z purchased the Pond House last year, and the Grey Gardens estate is sited on West End Road, among many famed residences.

Standing a massive 10,000 square feet in size with six bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, this East Hampton home is the largest one featured here. Sited on an acre and a half of land, the estate borders a 17-acre nature reserve, which is great for those looking for some privacy. Interiors feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a gourmet kitchen, a master suite with a fireplace, and a finished lower level.
Outside, there’s a heated infinity edge pool, hot tub, pool house, as well as patios and terraces for entertaining.
The home is only available for a full season rental, which will cost $500,000.

Curbed recently featured this home when it went up for sale for around $9 million—but it’s also available to rent from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Like the previous home, this estate is only available to rent for the entire summer season, so renters wouldn’t be able to only do a month or two the way many other seasonal rentals are broken up in the Hamptons.
For $475,000 from Memorial Day to Labor Day, one will enjoy a gated 8,600-square-foot home with seven bedrooms and seven and a half bathrooms, a double-height entry, open floor plan, two living spaces each with its own fireplace, and a gourmet kitchen. The finished lower level hosts a home theater, glass-walled wine cellar, gym, and a recreation room with a wet bar.
Outside, there’s a two-car radiant heated garage, a covered bluestone veranda, heated gunite saltwater pool, and a pool house with a drop-screen theater.

The least expensive home we’re featuring is also the smallest in size at 6,118 square feet, with five bedrooms and four bathrooms. However, this is the only waterfront home, with 400 feet of pond frontage and views of the ocean. The 3.5-acre property has water access, allowing for easy access to water sports on the pond.
The home features a heated gunite pool, an ocean-facing sunroom with a dining and living area, and a rooftop sundeck with water views.
