Luxury Hamptons rentals to consider this Presidents Day weekend

Which one would you live in for the summer?

Sotheby’s, Compass, and Bespoke

Presidents Day weekend marks the start of the bustling rental season for Hamptons summer visitors. Though many renters have already begun their search, Presidents Day weekend is usually when the rental season really kicks off.

Corcoran Group’s luxury real estate agent Gary DePersia told Curbed that he’s had prospective renters that have been showing interest in seasonal dwellings since before the New Year, and that while people are coming out east every weekend to look at houses, Presidents Day is a good three-day weekend to be out and touring homes.

Let’s check out some of the most incredible rentals that are available for the entire summer season, from Memorial Day to Labor Day.

700 Meadow Lane, Southampton: $2.25M

You might remember this Meadow Lane estate from previous seasons—last year, it was the most expensive seasonal rental on the East End, and this year it’s reclaimed that title, asking $2.25 million for the whole season. Just July will cost you $1 million, and August to Labor Day will take $1.5 million.

The 18,000-square-foot home sited on a whopping eight acres of waterfront land in Southampton has nine bedrooms, 13 bathrooms, a gym, a heated pool, a tennis court, and double water frontage on both the ocean and Shinnecock Bay.

Elie Tahari made headlines for his Hamptons home when it went on the market last year for a whopping $45 million. Last year, we did a PriceSpotter on the seasonal rental which was listed for the same $800,000 from Memorial Day to Labor Day, but one commenter said that they would “be surprised if it rented for $700K.” Not only did the fashion designer find a seasonal renter last year, but he found someone who paid the full $800,000 asking price.

Built in 1998, the 4,500-square-foot home has three bedrooms and three full bathrooms over two acres of oceanfront land. For the whole year, it would cost you $1.1 million to rent the estate out.

490 Hedges Lane, Sagaponack: $575K

This Sagaponack home is also for sale at an incredible $19.75 million. But if you’re just looking to rent it out for the season, you can do that for less. For the whole summer, the rental will cost you $575,000, but if you’re only coming from July to Labor Day, it’ll be $545,000. Just July is $250,000, and August to Labor Day will be $295,000.

In 11,000 square feet, there are seven bedrooms and 11 bathrooms. The newly-built home features a tennis court, gym, heated pool, hot tub, and a pool house on 2.25 acres of land.

61 Startop Drive, Montauk: $425K

Designed by well-reputed architect firm, Bates + Masi, this modern hilltop home in Montauk on four acres of land has water views over Lake Montauk and Gardiner’s Bay. In 9,000 square feet, there are seven bedrooms and nine bathrooms, wood ceilings, walls of glass doors that open out to the exterior, an open floor plan, and an infinity edge pool.

46 On the Bluff, North Haven: $230K

The least expensive rental that we’re featuring is a cute home in the Sag Harbor neighborhood of North Haven, asking $230,000 for the whole season from Memorial Day to Labor Day. For just June, it’ll cost $30,000, while the month of July is going to be $90,000, and August to Labor Day will set you back $110,000.

The waterfront home stands 5,000 square feet in size with six bedrooms, four bathrooms, and one half-bathroom on nearly two aces of land. Outside, there’s a wraparound pool, covered patio, and private beach, while indoors one will enjoy a full spa with a sauna and steam shower, as well as a gym.
