This week, Curbed’s PriceSpotter was a privately-situated shingle style home on nearly two full acres of land north of the highway in Amagansett. Located at 12 Southwood Court, the 7,379-square-foot home is asking $4.75 million under Compass Real Estate agent James Petrie. Most of our readers thought that the asking price was a bit higher.

About 32 percent of readers guessed that the home was listed between $6 million and $7 million, while there was a tie for votes in the two adjacent categories. The same amount of people who thought that it was listed between $5 million and $6 million guessed that it was over $7 million.

Just 12 percent of voters guessed correctly that it was under $5 million. After last selling in 2008 for $4.35 million, we would have thought that it would be asking a bit higher, too.

The six-bedroom, nine and a half-bathroom home features a master wing that overlooks the property grounds, three ensuite bedrooms on the second floor, a finished lower level with a home theater, wet bar, gym, and sauna, and wide-plank French oak flooring throughout.

French doors lead to the exterior, where there’s a patio, gunite pool, pool house with a bathroom and cabana, and a garage with a guest suite.
